This driver provides the Linux user with 16 channels of SP/DIF digital audio at a very low latency. The full ALSA architecture allows you to use Sidplay, or any OSS designed application. Since the card is simply a synchronized fiber conduit with 16 channels software mixing is required to control the levels of the individual channels.
